The Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) is the largest youth organisation in the UK, and provides an essential service with a meaningful structured foundation to help develop a cadets personal responsibility and integrity. As one of the larger squadrons in the Merseyside Wing, we take full advantage of what the RAFAC has to offer and take part in the multitude of activities and camps offered by them, and take part in helping the local community.
Cadets currently have the opportunity to gain valuable life skills and nationally recognised awards through cadets, that can help them with their future career paths. Their are also various awards and BTEC's availible for a cadet to take part in, which can be added their academic achievements.
Our squadron currently has a cadet strength of just shy of 70 cadets, all supported by a devoted team of nine cadet forces adult volunteers led by Commanding Officer - Flight Lieutenant Phyll Whitfield. As a result of our excellent staff we continue to grow steadily and take part in the majority of events offered by the RAFAC.
